The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) celebrated its opening night on July 18. The annual festival of brand-new musicals runs through August 7 at various Midtown Manhattan venues.
Now in its 12th year, the festival is the largest musical-theater event in America. Festival alumni have received a wide array of awards including the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize. In 2013, NYMF received a special Drama Desk Award in recognition of its work.
